The Prevalence and Associated Risk Factors of Uncontrolled Hypertension amongst Antihypertensive Medicines Taking Patients

Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine how common uncontrolled HTN is among medicated hypertensive individuals in Pakistan. Study Design: Cross-sectional Place and Duration: This carried out at Hayatabad Medical Complex from Jan 2022 April Methods: Total 165 patients both genders were presented. Enrolled cases aged between 18-80 years. Baseline detailed demographics included age, sex, body mass index socio economic status recorded. Frequency anti-hypertensive medications hypertension all assessed. SPSS 24.0 used analyze data. Result: Majority the 95 (57.6%) females 70 (42.4%) males. Mean age 60.4±9.30 years had mean BMI 30.3±17.85 kg/m2. 101 (61.2%) poor socio-economic status. married 130 (78.8%) 105 (63.6%) non-educated. duration 5.8±6.20 Most frequently antihypertensive drug combination therapy. found 82 (49.7%) cases. Males, people older than 60, smokers more likely experience hypternsion. Obesity, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, anaemia, malignancy, reflex or gastric reflux disease associated with an increased risk hypternsion comorbid illnesses (P <0.05). Conclusion: According findings, there urgent requirement for productive measures aimed enhancing control. Patients who also smoke cigarettes, have a education level, that greater normal should be focus efforts.
